Check out this site. There are so many replies about this museum! Amazing what Creation vs. Evolution stirs up! Please somebody bid on these items. I hate to think of them going into a regular Natural History Museum! http://www.boingboing.net/2010/06/10/auction-of-creationi.html
My heart is broken tonight. Not just because a Creation Museum is in liquidation, but because of how people are responding - with glee, with triumph, with mockery and some with thoughtfulness. I typed in "Creationist" into Twitter this evening, just to see what was out there, and discovered many heartbreaking comments. The mockery and spite about Creation are well pronounced.

I needed to see these comments this evening though. It brings the importance of God's Truth into a better perspective for me. I know God sees these people's hearts. I can not imagine the pain He feels at their rejection of His word. I know that believing in evolution does not mean you are not a Christian, but I gathered from most of these comments that these folks did not believe in God.

Sometimes I get "cushioned" in a Christian environment and "forget" the hurt and pain of the world. I see it tonight! And it is not pretty!

"God, please do not let me be complacent about sharing your word! Please keep a fire burning in my heart for you! Please help me to have strength, wisdom and love as I share the gospel with others. Thank you for your gift of life to us! Amen"
You are so right about our world's rejection of their creator and the pain He must feel. He does want us to keep sharing. Here is the scripture I was led to this morning, something that has become my writing motto:
Psalm 78: 2-4 and 6-7 I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. ... That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.

That's what you and I and others involved it this type of ministry are here to do, to show to the next generation what their schools aren't telling them: That we have an awesome God who has done mighty things.

If our hearts are burning with that passion, our works will bear fruit, even if we don't see it now.
Thanks Carol! What an encouragement the scriptures are! What an encouragement you are! I need to remember! I need to keep focused on what is important in this world! Thank you!

In Christ!

Thanks for the encouragement Brad! The Bible is full of wisdom, healing and comfort! I need to read this verse! Thanks again!

It is a real shame Kim. I have posted about Creation and the lie of evolution on my personal blog before and the haters came out with a vengeance. We just have to remember these verses:

2 Peter 3:3-5

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers , walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: KJV

Those people choose to be so hateful because they want to live in their lusts instead of living for God.

Kim, this link isn't working for me. Could you spell out the entire link without a shortener please? Thanks! Cheryl

AWW!  Sorry Cheryl.  I should have posted the year.  This was last year's event.  That's why the link won't work...(:

Sorry again!  Kim

Its a shame that any organisation that uplifts God as the creator should suffer like this. Maybe one of the other ministries could benefit from the material. As long as it doesn't go to waste at some
pro-evolution set up. Pray for them.

That link worked fine for me: http://www.creationconversations.com/forum/topics/creation-museum-h...

The creation evolution battle is a spiritual one. It's a part of higher criticism. The facts seems to me to overwhelmingly favour the creation model. Though I don't think its just about the facts. Dr Carl Werner's Evolution Grand Experiment and Ben Stein's movie Expelled both show the short comings of the evolution theory from the evolutionist themselves, yet many cry foul, still appealing to some future proof, is way it could never be over turned.

There seems to be a concerted effort in the media to secure that the next generation of children into believe in evolution.

From the evolution side, it appeals to the word 'change' as support for the history of evolution. It has hijacked the word, then gets you to agree that its true (change). It divides the arguments within the creation camp; divide and rule; young verses old earth, creationist verses ID, separation of church and state, etc. Pro-evolutionist seem to leave comments more readily online in places like YouTube and other websites comments sections than pro-creationist. This leaves an impression. They'll vote to promote sites and content that favour evolution, improving its search status with the search engines. There's often no substance to their comments on these sites. They mainly take the form of ad hominem attacks, an appeal to get an education, or just wake-up!!! and at worse insulting name calling. However I have noticed on an individual level many have become aware that there are short comings of the scientific claims in support of evolution. Its just not coming from a united front.

God knows what's going on.
