When living in Colorado we used to laugh about taking visitors to our state up to Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park where they would gasp in wonder at the vista of the mountains and exclaim, "How can anyone look at that and not believe in a God?" (maybe they were gasping for oxygen, too) If evolution were true, why is there a universal appreciaton for beauty?  Why do so many people find mountains so beautiful even if they had never seen them before?  If we are evolved, how can this be?

I've been watching a brand new pair of baby rabbits in our yard.  What adorable little guys!  I can't imagine anyone who would not agree.  It's fun to watch the momma rabbit nudge the babies and hover over them, then hop away and leave them to sit in the sun, but she is never far away.  Why is the concept of "cute" so universal?

When I was a kid I looked forward each month to getting my next "Life Nature Library" book in the mail.  The one that I found most intriguing was entitled "Evolution".  To this day I clearly recall an article on the cuteness of babies as evolution's way of assuring the mothers were attracted to their young and more likely to care for them.  One feature was the fore-shortened face of the baby.  There were drawings of proflies of a baby rabbit, a duckling, and a human baby.  This feature was supposed to trigger the maternal instinct, I guess.  If evolution were true, how is it that this same "trigger" works in so many different species, because most babies are just plain cute.  Even baby snakes, though I hate to admit it, and I don't know that snakes actually care for their young.  Do they?

Of course, as a creationsit, I recognize the hand of the Creator, here.  I am so glad the Creator didn't let Life Nature Library influence me much; or National Geographic for that matter.  He brought me to creation apologetics at age 15.  Long time ago!  Am I ever glad He did!

This idea has intrigued me for some time, so I thought I'd throw it in the mix for your consideration.  Thoughts?  Any Bible passages that you know of that would apply?  Can we use this in discussions with our evolutionist friends?

In Stuart Burgess’ book, Hallmarks of Design, he covers a lot of the topics of beauty, such as the bird’s songs, feathers (such as those of the peacock and more,) the shape of faces and how they fit the golden rectangle and many more topics. God created a message that expresses his glory throughout all of his creation and it was formed in such a way, that we, the receiver, could perceive it. Romans 1:19-20 is clear passage about this. Evolutionists try to pass this off as sexual selection, but the more we study the more we find that this is not the truth i.e. we have found that the pattern of peacock eye feather does not affect the selection by the peahen for white peacocks still are selected. Both the trait and the selection of that trait would have to evolve simultaneously. As a photographer, recognize this message of His glory and then try to capture it in an image, so I can share it with others. Luke 19:40 "I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out." or Job 12: 7-9 7 "But ask the animals, and they will teach you,
or the birds of the air, and they will tell you;

8 or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
or let the fish of the sea inform you.

9 Which of all these does not know
that the hand of the LORD has done this?
