A placard at a recent political rally in America:-

"Obama is not a brown-skinned anti-war socialist who gives away free health care - you're thinking of Jesus"

Not sure how this relates to biblical creationism. There are no races of humans, only one. And we are all the same family, all descended from Adam and Eve, and then from Noah, his three sons and their wives.

Our citizenship is heaven, from whence we look for our Savior to return and establish His coming kingdom, when He rides into the realm of the earthly with a sword and an army and a vesture dipped in blood, when the kingdoms of this world shall become the kingdoms of our God and of His Messiah, Jesus Christ the Creator of the Universe.

That's an awesome reply. There is truly only one race. The human race.

Yes, great replies. Even if the placard is portraying Jesus as a socialist (He didn't redistribute wealth, He was the gift of God), the writer may have hit upon something important.  That is the tendency in people to look for saviors.  For all of  humanity's  propaganda,  we  are  always  looking for someone  to  help  us  out  of  our  mess.  People  who  can  do  this  are  exalted  to  larger  than life  status.  King  David,  Alfred the Great, George Washington and Sir Winston Churchill  are several  of  my  favorites.   However,  we  should  not  make  anyone  a  demi-god.  God's  mercy  and  power  has  more  to  do  with  our  safety  than  a  single  individual.  We all know who said "its the economy stupid".  President Bush also said he would fix things. President Obama said he would fix things. Right now there are some saying they can fix things.  After all, we don't want someone who can't fix things do we?  But we here should know that only one can fix the most important things: Jesus Christ.  When He was walking the earth near Jerusalem He did not want to be King over a temporal jurisdiction.  He wants to rule the kingdom that is in our hearts.  Of course, there were those back  then who didn't want Jesus to rule.  They were content with Herod.  Even Caeser.  Even a murderer, Barabas but not the Son  of God, the only one who was good.  I want Christ to rule in my heart but it is easy to ignore my most important needs and most important Friend and Lord.  God help us all.
Jesus said, "My Kingdom is not of this world," though we know that one day it will be. The kingdoms of this world shall become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ, as is so majestically presented in Handel's Messiah quoting from inspired Scripture.
