I was in Saipan several years ago, an island in the Pacific near Guam, on a mission and trip and a little golf. When we were overlooking this view one of my buddies said, "How can you look at this and say there is no God." I have had the privilege of traveling around the world, this is one of the most beautiful places that I have been. God is the master designer and painter of landscape, of the stars, and of you and me. Tell me what you think is the prettiest place on planet earth.

Hmmm, so far the prettiest place I have seen is not that exotic, but it was memorably striking. It is Morro Bay, CA. The coastline was beautiful, but the Morro Rock seemed so improbably out of place for the setting. It just sits there, simply massive, on the edge of the beach like it was dumped from nowhere. It was unforgettable! When you look it up, it is described as a volcanic plug. It was odd, really beautiful, and amazing to me even now after 20 years.
OK, this is an impossible question to answer because the world is full of so much variety of beauty. Here is one of my absolute favorites, the painted desert. I almost couldn't believe it was real when I saw it for the first time.

I have to say that the prettiest place I have ever been is at Young Life's Malibu Club in Canada when I was 16, an 8 hour ferry ride up the fjords. It was just so breathtakingly gorgeous that the slow boat ride seemed to fly by. I have rarely felt such peace and the presence of God as my time in such a pristine setting!! I probably have pictures packed away in some trunk somewhere but I can't put my hand on them to post right now.
