I'm new to this website so maybe this has been covered:
It seems to me that there are two questions regarding evolution, and that they are often merged, to the confusion of the listener/reader--
[1] Does evolution occur?
[2] Does evolution satisfactorily explain speciation?
It seems to me that the answer to [1] is yes; but the answer to [2] is no.
