It has been suggested that Christians should quit using the evolution-based "three age" system and replace it with something else. However, other Bible-based historians feel the system can simply be…Continue

Comment by Matthias Wirsich on May 2, 2012 at 6:33am Hallo Jim,
there was a forum in internet about Biblical aerchaelogy . It was also about Noahs Ark research. Can you help me to find this forum again. It was also about Italian Ark researcher Angelo Palego, who made much research and is here in europe the only one , who has so much informations and motivation . Most German Christians are too lazy to climb up the mountain Ararat . They like to discuss much more ! They are like the 68 revolution people !
This is crazy , because Dr Friedrich Parrot made the first accent of Mt Ararat in 1829 and he was a German born nearby my home ! The next was Friedrich Abich in 1845 . He was also German. They were the last Germans , which climbed the mountain and believed the Bible is true and inspired by God. Then came the atheism and modern times with eltricity and Charles Darwin .

Comment by David Thomas Posey on September 9, 2011 at 1:41pm The first period seems right to me (for mesopotamia), but the second seems a bit shorter than I would have put it. This dicussion has such potential, do you reckon we should move it to a thread within the grouo rather than continue on the comment wall?
Comment by Allen J Dunckley on September 8, 2011 at 5:57pm Agreed, David, (call me Allen). Maybe we could play around with the ideas.
something like the post flood lithologic period 2348 BC to 1900 BC?; then the paleometalic period, 1900 to 1200BC?; then the neometalic period, 1250 to ???. :)
Just brainstorming.
Comment by David Thomas Posey on September 8, 2011 at 3:57pm Good points, Mr. Dunckley. Of course, geography would still cause a good bit of variation in the dates for particular "ages", but with a standard to go by the terms could still be used, at least until someone can come up with something better.
