I Think , Compared with other ancient cultures and religions the jews have the most exact calendar. There is only one verse in Old testament that judges the jews to be liers . May be there is a worldwide anti jews proganganda in our brain ? As Christians we have to think different ! The fact ist : The jews are the people who are chosen by God. ( And God dosn´t matter if we like this or not ). Greetings from Germany

Steve, JAMES USSHER after many years of compiling history, comparing different time keeping systems and ancient calendars wrote a book (The Annuls of the  the World) in which he calculated the creation date of 4004. Because much of his references are no longer available, I do not believe anyone today would be able to have as much accuracy in his many ages displayed in "Annuls..".

Steve, what evidence do you have that the Jewish calendar is exact and has never changed and has been used from day 1 of creation?

Comment by Steven Posey on June 1, 2013 at 11:45am

The Jewish calendar is exact: 23 Sivan, 5773 I think. Of course, I believe the important thing is that the earth is very young compared to evolutionary theory, whether it's really 5,700 years old or 6,004 or 6,500. I've heard there is 100 or so years to play with there but I've been too lazy to do any serious figuring on it.

I have a mammoth tooth in my creation museum , but I don´t know what to say , when visitors come. I hear creationists only discuss about Biblical chronology . Or some people find it very booring topic to connect mathematics with Bible, some Christians also say it is blasphemy to calculate with the Bible . but I wonder why there are so many numbers. . I wonder , why the Israel calendar is very exact to the Biblical chronology, but I never heared this from Christians. Is there something wrong ? Is there a key to prophecy ? If 1 day is 1000 years , could that mean that your time is maximum 6000 years plus 1000 years of millenium . If this is true our time in western capitalism will end very soon and we will see Jesus coming. ( Israel calendar approximattelly year 5700 . If there is a small mistake , the time of JESUS COMING WILL BE VERY SOON ).

we had a very blessed children camp at the museum with much workshops , devotion time, Bible lessons, PPt, video clips, out door activities. We have no lobby in German Christianity , ut we are still alive. Our CREATION LAB programm is worldwide special and unique. Christians worldwide could copy this good programme .

The Mammoth Thing DOES fit with the topics, but it should be opened as a THREAD so it can be on-going, rather than here, where it kind of goes on and on before disappearing down in the depths of the bottom of the page. If it is a thread we can keep coming back to it as something with an identity at the top of the page. So you seem to have missed my point. Please let us discuss the recent find of mammoth amounts of soft tissue from a mammoth. No one said it doesn't fit the topics. So there is no need to apologize. We are not saying that you should not be talking about mammoths here. It is a great topic, but post it as a thread so that it is there at the top of this page. I am fired up about the mammoth thing too. It is so awesome.

Sorry--JIm your right, I actually do know, I thought this fit in with the topics but apparently not, so sorry Steve, I just got fired up from the Mammoth thing, nad so there you have it.  Cheers!!!

We love to discuss new information, new discoveries, new views of old evidence, and especially new evidence of our good old established biblical truths that we hold as certainly true. Anything new in the news would be a great thread, either here or in the main forum.
