My cousin is fixing to start homeschooling in Jacksonville, FL. Unfortunately, we don't know how to advise her since we live in Tennessee and the situation is completely different. Does anyone know whether there is good curriculum fair in the area (preferably where Answers in Genesis instead of BioLogos is invited)? Does anyone have recommendations for whether she should register with the state or seek out an umbrella school to affiliate with?
If anyone has advice, I'll pass it on. If not, I'm sure everything will go fine anyway.

There is a very good convention in Jacksonville each year as well as the secular FPEA convention. I live in Florida and have homeschooled my children since 1986. I think with any convention you need to be vigilant and discerning in your curriculum choices.
