It's my intent, as you have suggested to approach the pastor with my intent after we've settled into a new home-church. Creation science is hugely important and exciting as you've noted, and I agree fully with you (and AnswersinGenesis) that it is totally secondary to sharing the Gospel of Christ with the lost and leading as many as possible to a saving relationship with our Lord while were here.
