Hi Debra. I too belong to this web site. I went to youre blog and learned that you had fun cooking rice. I will share this with you. I learned this from a fireman and works for me every time. Put the amount of rice in the pan you whish to cook. Add water to within 1" over the rice leveling the rice in the pan. Cook on High, no lid, until you see holes in the rice. Turn down the heat to low, put a lid on the pan and let it cook for 20 minutes more. Works for me every-time, whether it is white or brown rice.
