Describe your interest in joining the community
Besides teachers’ college and some theological and nursing education, I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in geography, which covers a wide range of academic disciplines. This -- along with my avid interest in many subjects (e.g. cosmology, science/biology, soteriology and eschatology), and possession of a large personal library (of over 8,000 volumes) -- is why I have a reasonably good working knowledge of the creation-evolution conflict. (When I was a young Christian, I was first taught the “Gap Theory,” as outlined in the Scofield Bible footnotes, and as taught by Arthur C. Custance. Obviously, I no longer hold that view.)
I was the London, Ontario regional Bible (now Creation) Science Association of Canada representative for two years (1974-76). Before that, I taught elementary school for six years. After that, I was administrator (with my wife) of a group home for 18 psychiatric residents (1976-1990), sold World Book Encyclopedia part-time, and later worked as a Personal Support Worker. Since 1996, I’ve been a complementary/holistic (vs. allopathic) health-care educator, an independent Mannatech associate, a researcher and a proofreader.
My wife and I are parents of two daughters and grandparents of two grandchildren.
My three other current, noteworthy essays (in MS Word) are:
1. “Scientific Creationism Versus Atheistic Random-Magic Evolutionism” [4 pgs.],
2. “Joy to the World, Jesus Messiah Reigns -- PENTECOST Fulfilled the Second Remnant
Prophecy of Isaiah 11:10-16 ~Continuity” [6 pgs.], and
3. “As a Christian, Why I Am Conservative Rather Than Left-Wing Liberal” [2 pgs.].
Debate or no debate, I just want to praise God for His marvellous Love, Word, and Creation. ~Gary Webb
