Hello James,

I am a science teacher at Bible Baptist Christian School in Hampton, GA.  I started out as a chemist at the University of Kansas, Center for Biomedical Research.  I then went to Bob Jones and earned a BS in science education and have been teaching in Christian schools ever since 1988.  I teach 7th grade Life Science which has creation/evolution chapters in the Bob Jones Press curriculum.  I also teach Earth Science to 8th graders which also discusses cosmology and fossil formation.  Biology has an in depth creation/evolution unit that I also teach every year.  All of these I teach from the perspective of a young earth (thousands, not billions of years.)  Just this school year we have had a Chinese foreign exchange student that is very close to converting to Christianity, perhaps as a result of discussions that we have had about creation-evolution.  He was shocked that I could be a scientist educationally and at the same time believe in creation.  My interests include astronomy, chemistry, fossil hunting.  Matt Nething

Hi James, yes...we have something similar. We visit our dead love ones during Nov.1 only which is I think it's a Halloween event there in America. I didn't quite understand your last message to me last time...Does it means you are coming here in my country to meet Dr.Tan? You'll like here. Filipinos are a very hospitable lot and don't be surprise when someone asked you "How are you doing Joe?" The only thing that it will be getting used to is the "heat". We are a tropical country. Aside from that we have a rich culture also.

Oh So it spring now there...here in my country it is still summer. It is probably the "hottest" season ever as some people are dying of heat stroke. The heat can be so unbearable that I felt like going to the public pool almost everyday. I am very glad that you made me so welcome here James. As I also wanted to meet other Christians from all parts of the world especially in the states. There is so much to know about your country as I am unable to go there anymore.

Oops, Sorry James, I forgot what AR stands for. When I was still working for an American company based in the Philippines. It is part of our training to know the abbreviation of the states in the U.S.. Most of my relatives resides at Sacramento, while my other cousin lives in Texas. My grandfather used to be with the U.S Army. I thought most state have colder climate and that most Americans wears jackets.

I teach in Horizon Christian High School (as of fall of 2010--I have taught in HC Middle School for ten years. I will be developing a new Creation Science class as well as an Apologetics Bible Class (plus computer classes and independent math classes). I help lead and set up speakers for Design Science Association, a group of 200+ members and guests that meet monthly to hear a lecture on current topics in creation science.

After I became a Christian, It took a while-hate to admit that-for me to accept a young earth. After 30 plus years standing on all the world views, I challenged God one day on the way to work. I said, "Ok , I know the Bible is true and if you say the earth is only 6,000 years old, then I believe!" That instant, while driving at 70 MPH, He showed me a hall way going off into the distance with doors on both sides. They began to open and each one said check me out! I've been doing that now for a few years and everyone of them has been incredible! Finding this site is just another door. Thank God and you for being there.

Thanks for asking about my interest in the Creation ministry. My wife & I have a small Creation organization in Northwest WA, which is known as North Sound Creation Friends, or NSCF. We have an e-notification list, for interested people, of Creation speakers & events coming to our area. We try to announce events, as we hear about them, from Mt. Saint Helens to Vancouver, BC.
