Scientific Evidence for a Universal Flood

I am setting this group up in order to collect member's thoughts and opinions, and maybe, even new evidence, about the flood. Why set up a group, that is simple, because there are so many issues and conflicting beliefs within the Christian community. We have two books that we need to read, firstly we have the Bible, not just Genesis but many other books of the Bible that refer to the flood; the Bible must be, and should be, our first and foremost authority on any subject concerning our faith.…See More

I want to connect with people who share my views. That is what people mostly do and I am no different. I like to talk about science stuff and if people are interested in chatting with me, just go ahead :)

About me

From Pascal’s Penseés :

“God has given us evidence sufficiently clear to convince those with an open heart and mind, yet evidence sufficiently vague so as not to compel those whose hearts and minds are closed.”

Till I was 25, I was an atheist and my world view was naturalism and humanism. This worldview got challenged by my future brother-in-law, who is a chemist. When I was 27, I accepted Christ as my lord and saviour.

But I was still a strong proponent of evolution - that means in a nutshell that people and bacteria have a common ancestor. I am not talking about factual stuff like natural selection and genetic variation or mutation. When I was 29, even this world view got challenged by presentations of Roger Liebi and Siegfried Scherer. The former is an amateur regarding biology, the other is the Managing Director of the Nutrition and Food Research Center ZIEL and an expert in microbiology. Quite fast I sensed that this creation idea was not just a phantasy story, but had real evidence for itself.

Till today I am intensly studying this phenomenon and after nearly three years I can tell you this: Dont be afraid. About 99% of the discussions I had with evolutionists were based on insults and ad hominems from their side. Since 1859, when Darwins Book “On the origins of species” was published, Atheists finally got a naturalistic foundation for their rejection of God. They could now explain how humans and animals came to be. And for many that is the reason why they get really upset when someone questions this foundation. I dont say that there is a conspiracy, but there surely is a drive to keep the foundation alive. I know that because it was exactly the same with me when I was an atheist.

And although all of my changes happened when I was a grown up man, already studying mathematics and physics at a normal university, people insist that I got brainwashed and indoctrinated.

I don't spend much time on Creationist sites. As a scientist I am still active at RNA-mediated.com and my FB group RNA-mediated. I enjoy integrating the science and Biblical Genesis through the New Testament, but I find few people who can follow the teleological and theological perspectives in the context of physics, chemistry, and molecular epigenetics.
