Genesis 2:5-6?

On what day were Adam and Eve created?Genesis 1:26 makes it sound like they were created on the 6th day. But in Genesis 2:5-6 it says that Adam was created before there was any vegetation. And 1:11 says that vegetation was created on the 3rd day.If anyone can clarify this for me, it would be greatly appreciated.  See More

Describe your interest in joining the community
I have an interest in Science, but became discouraged in my college science classes when the teachers stated evolution as fact, and all the students nodded in agreement. I wanted to find people who saw what I saw: that it could not have happened by accident. At the very least, I wanted to ask questions about the validity of evolution, but didn't know what to ask or how to really defend my view, because I myself didn't fully understand my view. What I need now is a community of believers who are interested in science and want to discuss science with God in the picture. I'm in college now, so I need a Christian community more than ever. I want to be able to answer questions that unbelievers have without stumbling over my own answers, and I know that the way to do that is to stay in the Word of God and to keep in contact with fellow believers.

Hi Karissa,

Welcome to creation conversations! I can completely understand the frustrations you have. I love science, but it's sad to see so many people equate evolution with science. Hopefully you will get some of the encouragement you're looking for here.

Also, there are a lot of really great books out there to help you fully understand and be able to defend your view. The Answers books are great, and I would also highly recommend The Ultimate Proof of Creation, though it's definitely a book you have to stop and think about while you're reading it. (There are helpful companion videos to this book you can watch Here and Here.)

Also, if there is a campus ministry at your school, it would be worth checking them out. I know not all campus ministries are the same, but I have gotten a lot of encouragement from the ministry at my school.

God Bless.
