In Principio: Genesis 1:2 – Part 2

“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” I had initially thought to move on to verse three when something about this verse called back to me.  “..and darkness was upon the face of...

H.G. Wells, James McGrath and Martin Luther on Evolution & the Gospel

Some people will tell you that Genesis and microbes-to-man evolution are compatible, that you just have to believe that evolution over millions of years was the process by which God created. In fact, shortly after I re-dedicated my life to God 20 years ago, my wife asked me, “What about evolution?” I told her that...

In Which Ken Ham Continues To Promote the Lie that Isaiah 45:18 Says ANYTHING About Aliens

Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis has recently “written” a post (with the help of the oft-times half-cocked “AiG’s research team”) called “Study: Mars “More Uninhabitable Than Previously Thought.” Apparently, a new study [“Perchlorates on Mars enhance the bacteriocidal effects of UV light.” Scientific Reports 7, Article number: 4662 (2017) doi:10.1038/s41598-017-04910-3] has concluded that Mars is currently more unsuitable...

December 21, 2012, the Mayan Calendar & A Free Kindle Book for the End of the World

Posted on December 20, 2012 at 4:30pm 0 Comments

The Mayan Long Calendar ends on December 21, 2012 and everyone's seeing that as a sign of an impending Apocalypse. Well, not everyone. The Mayans were actually looking forward to it as something of a Golden Age per some scholars.

In any case, Christians need not fear this hocus pocus. Jesus adamantly stated even He didn't know the day nor hour of His Return, only the Father…

Who or what exactly was the serpent in the Garden of Eden?

Please join my new discussion and help me definitively answer this question. Your opinions are important to me.

Hi Tony,

Just been to your blog. Great idea to start the Creation Letter and request for signatures to counter Zimmerman's Clergy Letter. I was encouraged to see so many have signed on and really enjoyed the various comments made. It was pleasing to note that Christians from mothers to scientists are giving their support to this. Well done for taking the initiative and setting up the Creation Letter.

Hi Tony
Thanks for inviting me to be your friend. I have just browsed your page and like what I see. I believe we share similar ideas re creation etc. I would like to respond to some of the issues you've raised but am a bit tied up at the moment.
F.Y.I - I am a geotechnologist by profession but pastor at my local Church of Christ. Here in Zimbabwe we don't have the privelege of many of the books and literature (on creation or science for that matter) that you have in the US. I do quite a bit of web browsing to gen myself up on what's happening and current in the world today particularly concerning the evolution/creation debate. It's one of the reasons I joined Creation Conversation, and I'm glad I did. Write to you later.

Thanks Tony, I haven't been comming here much because I get to much argument form "Christians". It seems like I get it nomatter what I say. Not whining, just a little tired of it. I have also been a little to straight forward with one or two people. Have thought about just staying on facebook. I truly want to share, but not this way. I believe with all my heart that we're so very close to His return for the church. And to tell you the truth thats all I care about. At least as far as the mission I believe I've been given. So, at the very least I won't be around much. Thank you for the request. God bless
