Book Review: Begin by Ken Ham & Bodie Hodge

This book is designed as a journey through scriptures for seekers and new believers.  The authors start with a foreword that gives insight on why this book is written.  It states many Christians today are passing out copies of the New Testament (which often include the Psalms and Proverbs from the Old Testament) in their effort to share God’s Word with others.  Of…

Psalm 19:1

While doing research on the subject of creation recently, I have meditated on this beautiful verse.

"The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of His hands."

So I have been thinking about this hypothetical question:

How much glory would God receive for starting the Big Bang? (Please this is not a debate about the science or interpretation of Genesis 1.)

To me it is so much more wonderful that God said "Let there be lights in the heavens and…

A Day is a Day

The Hebrew word “yom” translated “day” in English, can be used much like our word day.  It can mean one 24 hour period or you can say “back in the day” and mean a time period in the past, or you can say “in the days of Solomon” and mean a specific time frame.  Yom is a versatile word, but in Genesis chapter 1, God makes the understanding of the word very clear.  When ever the word  “yom” is used in the Bible in conjunction with a number like, day 1 or day 2 it means one 24 hour time…

This is my first post on Creation Conversations.  It is in poetic form, which is a form of conversation.  The title called "A Higher Power" is what I believe everyone who contemplates the natural world and beyond our planet much come to know that there must be, even if they have no religious background.  Believing the biblical account of creation, that "higher power" to me is my Creator, Jesus Christ, in His pre-incarnate essence.  I want to leave…

Review: World of Science

Science is not one of my favorite subjects, but I am very impressed with World of Science.  From the back cover, " World of Science explores God's creation all around us from the furthest star in the Universe to the smallest atom under our feet."  This…

I was privaledged to never learn about evolution in school. I actually had no idea of the horrible grip it has on our world. I thank God that I was never sucked into the evolution worldview. I believe in the creation as the Bible describes it more than anything else in this world! FYI/You can find loads of info on drdino.com

A Personal Journey to the Truth

Most of my life I believed in evolution.  It was taught to me in school and I was an absolute sponge for scientific knowledge since my earliest memories.  But, these scientists I put my faith in had a secular world view and preached evolution.  I was caught in a secular worldview.  I never really attributed life and the universe to God.   Then, a few years ago I started studying creation science and stumbled through some bad information until I found the truth.

    I started out…

New Beginnings

I have never been very good at New Year resolutions. Whether it's pledging to work out more consistently, eat less junk food, or even read through the entire Bible in a year, I seem to fall flat on my face sooner rather than later. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever made it past February in any of my New Year resolutions.

Sometimes that lack of commitment scares me.

I know it's just a New Year's resolution. It's not like it's a job responsibility. Or a marriage vow. But I…
