Great For God Book Club {Chapters 22 & 23}

Can you believe we are already at the end of the book? I have learned so much from the people we have discussed along the way. The final 2 chapters in Great for God were about Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf and Samuel Zwemer. Both were sold out to mission work. Giving their lives over to God for His…

Rejecting Genesis

Can we reject Genesis and still believe the Gospel?

We hear it more and more in the world around us and what is most troubling to me is not so much what we are hearing, but who we hear it from. We hear this kind of talk more and more within the church. What am I talking about? The abandonment of a literal (literal, historical, grammatical)…

Thinking about the Prophets

Here are some verses and thoughts on them I've had lately.

Jeremiah 6:10

To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear?

behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken:

behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have

no delight in it.

6:13 – 17

For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one

is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest

every one…

Patent Ductus Arteriosus….What????

I know, this big term is better recognized by me as simply PDA. It is another reason that causes me to believe in a Creator God. Here is a link to a more detailed explanation of the issue.
For preemie babies I will…

Natural Selection is the Opposite of Evolution!

If I had to reduce evolution down to its most fundamental essence, I would have to describe it as reproductive differential. Simply put, whoever leaves the most offspring wins. It doesn't matter how strong a creature is or how fast or how clever; if it doesn't leave any offspring then its advantages die with it. If a creature is a good enough hunter, fast enough to escape predators, and appealing enough to attract a mate, then it will hopefully have offspring that will inherit its…

The Drake Equation: It Might Sound Good on Paper

Evolutionists are believers in junk science. I've know it for a long time yet I've never become used to their level of absurdity. These people, who claim to be the epitome of scientific inquiry and objective thinking, should simply resign themselves to the fact that they are producing science fiction and not actually practicing science.
Have you heard of the Drake Equation? According to Wiki,…

Water on the Moon... as Predicted

It's not often you find a science fiction novel predicting something scientists later discover, so you'll pardon me taking a moment to say, "I called it!"

All right, it was a guess, but an educated guess. Here's the recent news from Science World Report:

Researchers announced the discovery of tiny amounts of water in the moon…

If I Were An Atheist

If I were an atheist, how would I convince others of my worldview? There are several different approaches that I could take. I could argue for the big bang and show evidence that dark matter did exist prior to the big bang, thus providing a potential cause for the big bang and showing that God was not necessary. But I may struggle when I speak with a persistent Christian who continues to question my assumptions concerning the dark matter. How do I really know  there was dark matter…

Scientific Mystery Monday - The Wonder Of Fish

Most organs in the animal world, not just limbs, have several uses, illustrating an economy that reflects designed parsimony.  Animals are wont to imitate other animals, or even leaves, rocks or other aspects of their surroundings.  One fish, which looks very much like a dead leaf, and is appropriately called the Leaf fish, is tan or brown colored with appropriate leaf resembling mottling.…
