Neanderthals have long captivated the inquisitive minds of the public and academia. What are they? Ape-Men? A missing link in the evolutionary chain of man? Are they even human at all? When did they live? There are a number of differing theories among evolutionary and creationist circles, but what is the truth behind these beings of… Continue

I would be classified as a "Young Earth Creationist." I understand the Biblical record to reveal a 6 day(of 24 hours each) Creation. I am persuaded that the unbiased, scientific evidence observable today corroborates this record. I do not consider theistic evolution, day age theories, gap theories and such like to have any merit.…

"Mommy, mommY!!!! a PACKAGE!" she tears it open...
screaming..."it's a PASSPORT, a real passport!"
All dinner prep paused so that we could examine the "passport"
located in a little pocket in the front of the book.
"oh, and there are STICKERS to put in the passport!!!".
Yes, there are stickers to document your visit through the pages of each country ☺
Needless to say, this is a very fun way to learn about the 52 countries in this book! Continue

I love reading about discoveries in science especially relating to animals and plants. I read a lot of science articles written for the general public and I find it appalling the word evolution or some varient of it seems to be inserted in every other sentence. I feel that a vast of amount of energy is being wasted making everything fit into this world view. Does any one know of a source of scientific information coming from creationists? I already have bookmarked, Answers in Genesis and… Continue

Being a Christian Homeschool Mom I am aware of the vast amount of books available on Dinosaurs and Dragons. Typically I will pick up a book, read 'millions of years ago' and immediately put the book down. I was so excited to review this book from New Leaf Press knowing that it would be from a Christian Perspective.
As soon as I brought the book in the house my young children were looking through the pictures, the fold out sections and all of the flip doors. The drawings are… Continue

I think it's safe to say that today's school students have a lot to deal with - peer pressure, eating disorders, drugs, alcohol, the breakdown of families, the loss of loved ones, depression, bullying, fear of the future and so on.
Here in Australia, a service exists in public schools (or state schools), funded by the federal government, called School Chaplaincy. School chaplains provide a listening ear, advice, counselling, and wisdom to students who have no where… Continue

For the one or two of you that have read my blogs regularly, I both thank you for reading, and apologize for the delay. Call it a "blogging retreat," or a "spiritual musing fast;" call it whatever you may wish, but God has brought me face-to-face with my own hypocrisy, and I needed to back up a bit and spend some time in His Word. Oddly, the lesson started with Batman.
I forced my wife, through subtle subterfuge, to watch Batman Begins (as retribution, I will soon… Continue

I had to do a little research on Charles Spurgeon, the person, in order to completely benefit from this book. He evidently was a "funny" guy. Well, it is said that "his wit was abundant as his wisdom".
There is a tender story of an occassion the exhausted Spurgeon, fell asleep and began "sleep" rehearsing his message. His wife realizing that he would… Continue

I thoroughly enjoyed Mike's New Reality! The characters are likable and realistic. The novel's drama is pulled from the real-world conflict the Bible-affirming Christian often encounters over dissent from Darwin.
The basic premise of Buddy Helms' novel is simple: The protagonist, Mike Evans, an avowed evolutionist is invited by a Christian friend to hear a Creation speaker, after which he has a crisis of faith. Determined to convince his friend that he's wrong about creationism, Mike… Continue

The chances for life on this planet are 100 percent. I have almost no doubt about it.
These words were spoken by Steven Vogt, an astronomer at the University of California in regards to his team’s ‘discovery’ of the exoplanet Gliese 581g. The announcement of this planet was widely reported due to the fact that it is supposedly resides in the ‘Goldilocks Zone’ where water could exist. For the evolutionists, this means that life could exist on the planet.… Continue

What is the best April Fools joke you ever pulled off on someone? I have always been, much to my teachers' disapproval, a practical joker. What many call sinister I sometimes call funny! Just ask around the office and they will tell you! One time at middle school camp I shaved the eyebrows off of a kid that fell asleep in the middle of the day. I do feel bad for doing it, but still crack a smile when I think about how… Continue
