If you are like me, you may be passing the flood evidence everyday on your way to work. Nothing reminds me of God's judgment on a daily basis like the many layers of rock I see that was cut out to form the interstate in and around St. Louis, Missouri.

I will often look at the many different layers as I drive. Yes I know I should keep my eyes on the road but often enough I take a look at what was not there 4400 years ago.

One day I noticed something amazing in the layers on i270. This is a hwy that basically circles the city of St. Louis and connects the major hwy's coming into the city. In the southwestern part of 270, there is a rock layer formation that caught my eye and I kept gazing at it as I would drive by in the morning. The more I looked at it the more I thought that it was absolute evidence of a flood as there is no way a layer could form in this manner being laid down over thousands or millions of years.

Basically what I was seeing was one rock layer being divided in two by another.

When I got home, I searched through the internet trying to find diagrams explaining or replicating these layers on science websites or science textbooks. I found none.

I did however find science diagrams of layers ending in between other layers. But never did I see any diagram with layers dividing other layers.

This is the type of diagram I found in science resources with one layer stopping in the middle of two different layers.

However, the diagram below actually represents what I took in the picture. This is not found in science resources that I have been able to find. One layer ending between another layer.

This sort of layering can only come from a huge flood that laid down many many different types of layers of rock in no consistent order. Not even a mile away, the rock layers are different sizes and color from where I took the picture.

Back when I was in elementary school, probably in the 1st or 2nd grade, my teacher came in one day with a large glass jar filled halfway with dirt and halfway with water. She shook it up and set it aside and at the end of the day, we all gathered around and looked at the many layers the dirt had separated into.

This is a perfect example of what happened on a larger scale on this planet 4400 years ago. The Bible is clear that unbelievers will be willfully ignorant of the flood.(2 Peter 3:3-6) It doesn't matter how much evidence you show them, even picture evidence, they will scoff at it.

I have found the best way to deal with unbelievers is to pray for them. Nothing you do can change them, only conviction by God's holy spirit can change the hard heart of a non-believer. For those non-believers who want a challenge, ask them to fall to their knees and pray that God would reveal himself to them.

The evidence of God's judgment is all around us. He has judged this planet before. He will do so again. It's time to get ready.

When you are driving through mountain areas where the road crew cut a pass, you will see areas that look like a stack of Pringles turned on edge. The Ozarks are a good example of this. I first saw that when I was 10 years old when Mom and Dad moved to Arkansas. Even at that age, I wondered what force could have broken a mountain and turned part of it on its edge. That could have been when the mountains were formed at the end of the flood.

I haven't visited it yet, but I found it on Google maps (using street view).

Yes thanks. Its at the northbound lane of 270 in between Dougherty Ferry and Manchester Rd. about halfway.

That's really cool -- Ive never seen anything like it, before. I also live in St. Louis, but I don't travel most of 270 very often. Now you're making me want to go and see it. Could you give a more detailed location?

Great blog post! Sadly, as it says in 2 Peter 3:5-7 "For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, 6 and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. 7 But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly."

Just now it will be fire, not a flood that the scoffers will have to deal with.

BTW, great poster at the end there. Love it. And that's a great display at the Creation Museum.
